His graphic insights, his vision, his eye guides yours on a journey through the commercial wasteland where his efforts are anything but wasted. Hart's version of Pop-Art is simply that: Art that "Pops" off the page, off the screen, into your life. As Hart says, "All that mix'n'match assembly line creative is fer the birds, people deserve something original, that's what I try to give them." Apparently people are responding. Hart's ballsy illustrations, his inventive type treatments, his unapologetic use of color has "popped" for clients like the Gap, HBO and Budweiser. And while Tom is no stranger to the free-wheeling life, he's also done stints at agencies from Leo Burnett to BBDO; not to mention a number of in-between places. Package goods, service industries, even T-shirts have borne the mark of Hart. From Art Direction to graphic design, any medium, especially those going out to younger urban folk & kids.
Hart's work has won numerous awards, to which he would respond,"So what!?" and his stylings have been the subject of magazine articles and much press. He also has a bit of a wandering eye, having, having done book covers, illustrations and cartoons...Hartoons, as he calls them.
